'The Unexpected King Arrives'

In Matthew 21, we see Jesus's triumphal entry into Jerusalem. This is a scene I'm sure most of us are familiar with, as we see Jesus riding into Jerusalem on a colt, the foal of a donkey. Jesus is entering Jerusalem at a time where the city would be teeming with Jews who have travelled from near and far for Passover week.

With Jesus's entry into Jerusalem, it is clear the King has arrived. But He is not the King that the Jews had expected as they are blind to the truth of Jesus's identity, purpose and authority.
