'Whose Team Are You On?'

We have been enjoying the view from Romans 5 as we take in how far we have come and where we have been able to rest and reflect on the extraordinary blessings that are ours through faith in the atoning work of Jesus Christ on the cross - we have peace with God, we have access to God, we have hope in God, and we are loved by God.

The second half of chapter 5 goes on to explain how God could declare us righteous even though we were sinners. In order to do this Paul draws a comparison between too representative figures - Adam as the first man and Christ the new Adam. He does this in such a way as to clearly demonstrate the overwhelming superiority of the work of the new Adam.

  2. The Rescue That Came Through Christ.
