On Youth Sunday 2020, Steven explores the passage in Luke 9:56-62 to discover what Jesus expects of those who follow Him.
As Jesus converses with three different people about what it means to follow Him, it is clear that Jesus doesn’t want disciples with FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out), He wants disciples that FOLLOW.

Questions For Application:
- As a disciple, how would you say you are currently doing when it comes to following Jesus? Do you think you resemble any of the characters in the passage?
- “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.” - Do you find yourself looking back at what you’ve missed out on, rather than looking forward to your future promise of eternity? If so, how might you fix your focus on the promises of future peace, rest and joy that Jesus offers us?
- What particular area is Jesus calling you to follow Him to right now? Have you, like the characters in the passage, been putting it off?
