Today we begin our new series on the book of James.
James
is a book full of practical, life-changing help for real life. In our
passage this morning we see that James doesn’t waste any time or words instead he
gets straight down to business by explaining how we can experience joy in our trials.
Opening:
As we unite together to worship let’s use the words of Blessed Be Your Name.
Message Points:
- The Reality Of Trials
- The Reason For Trials
- The Request For Wisdom During Trials
Response:
Following the message please take a few moments to consider your answers to these questions as you seek to apply today’s teaching to your own life:
- How would you have honestly described your Christian life and your priorities before the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic?
- In what ways do you see God working in your life in the midst of this current trial to develop and mature you as a disciple of Jesus Christ?
- If there is the danger that you are wasting the opportunity to grow spiritually through this current trial what will you consciously decide to do differently this week?
Closing:
As we conclude our worship together let’s praise God in the words of Sovereign Over Us.
