Railway Street Presbyterian is a local city church that seeks to reach out to the community of Lisburn with the love of Jesus. Feel free to browse round the site to find out more about who we are and what we do. If you are looking for a church to join, or if you just want to drop in for a visit, we would love to meet you!
The minister is Rev Michael Davidson. Michael is originally from Belfast and became minister of Railway Street in September 2015. Prior to being called to Railway Street he was minister of Drumgooland & Kilkinamurry Presbyterian Churches, just outside Katesbridge, from 2004-2015. That followed six years as a member of the ministry team in First Antrim Presbyterian. He is married to Linda and they have three children.
Michael believes passionately in expository preaching and has no greater joy than seeing God speak through His Word to people today.
He is a keen supporter of Ulster Rugby and, perhaps uniquely in Lisburn, he is also a supporter of Southampton Football Club.
The Mission Statement of Railway Street Presbyterian Church – ‘Following Christ, Serving the Community’ – sums up who we are and what we stand for. We are a congregation of people drawn from all walks of life and all strata of society who have in common a desire to live our lives according to the teachings of Jesus Christ and to learn what it means to serve others, especially as we get to know them in our local community. Whether of pension age or just starting out on life, or somewhere in between, we hope you will find in our company a sense of belonging and purpose.
